Aero League Touring Car Championship

January / February 2025 Off Season Event – DRAFT –

Inspired by late 80ies / early 90ies International (European, Japanese, Australian, German and last not least British) Touring Car Championships governed by Group A Regulations

Also inspired by FILO Engineering’s Custom Group A BoP.

There will be 9 races over 4 race days:

Each and every race will be 20 minutes (standing start) preceded by a qualifying session of 5 + 3 minutes.

Cars

There are 11 cars to choose from:

The cars marked ★ seem to be overpowered compared to the others so their use will be limited to drivers from tiers 5 and 6. The car(s) marked ☆ seem to be less competitive so should only be chosen by drivers looking for an extra challenge.

There will be no additional restrictions which cars drivers can choose. Drivers are asked to announce the car they are planning to use soonish after they have marked their attendance for the races. Once the first cars announcements have been made the remaining drivers are encouraged to diversify the field but there is no requirement to do so.

You are free to switch to a different car between the race days but you will lose all points acquired so far and start from zero. You cannot switch back to a car you have already used.

Custom BoP

To best work with GT7’s limited abilities for custom BoPs we will have to put in a little more effort than the built-in Gr.3 BoP. A considerable portion of this custom BoP cannot be enforced so we are counting on ALR’s Code of Honor that every contestant will apply our custom BoP exactly as specified (or they know forever that they cheated!)

These Lobby settings will be put in place:

  • 625 Performance Points
  • 1.100 kg Weight Minimum
  • 335 BHP maximum Power
  • Racing Hard Tires
  • Engine Swap prohibited

On top of that there are specific requirements, how to build and setup each car so that the level of performance across is rather balanced. The building process includes…

  • The necessary (and prohibited) customisation parts to buy (or not buy / fit) in GT Auto
  • The necessary (and prohibited) tuning parts to buy (or not buy / fit) in the Tuning Shop
  • The correct settings to apply in the Garage (under Car Setup)

An overview of the setup process is outlined in CustomBoP for the ALTCC.

For a list of all setup sheets for every eligible car please refer to the list of cars above. The sheet will help you to exactly reproduce the required setup.

Further Customizing your car’s setup

Only the following three settings may be changed.

  • Brake Balance – may be altered before the races or during the race.
  • Front-/Rear Torque Distribution – may be altered before the races or during the race (available in some 4WD cars.
  • The gearing of the Fully Customizable Racing Transmission may be altered before the races to fine tune to each track’s top speed.

All other deviations from the BoP are considered cheating.

Liveries

When applying liveries from the show case it is essential to double check that the livery doesn’t import unwanted custom parts.

Scoring

Standard ALR Sprint points will be awarded. Pole position and fastest lap will NOT give extra points.

A constructor’s championship may be introduced after drivers have picked their cars.
